Finally had the first clear night in ages but sadly the weather gods had to wait until moon setting time was just too late to be really viable to make a dark sky dash
I have been waiting ages for a chance to view the fornax galaxies but from my backyard, ngc300 was barely discernable and I couldnt see ngc200 at all
I didnt have time to prepare a list of of what I wanted to view, so I just mucked around for a bit and checked out a few assorted globbies, m42 and worked my through a list of visible planetary nebulae on palmdsc. I only found the one ngc2440 I think, which was easily seen.
Had a quick look at Macholz through the binos also seeing just the fuzzy core.
Has anyone seen the photos of this comet? The tail is bizarre
