The only reason you would be receiving emails to threads/posts is if you subscribed to them. You should be able to (via your profile) see what threads/forums you're subscribed to, and unsubscribe from them.
If it's still happening, perhaps you can change your password temporarily, and i'll login as your userid to have a look at your settings.
There's been no other progress on the more complex items in this thread yet.. mojo and I have been taking a bit of a break on new development since the .au launch, but i'm hoping/expecting we'll get back into new stuff shortly.
