Minimum on that light seems to be 4 LEDs on. I adapted a white light head torch by replacing the first setting of 3 white LEDs with 3 red LEDs (and changed the dropping resistors). But, those three are really too bright - I think I have to disconnect one of them.

I have a torch with a single high intensity red led and its a bit too bright for close work in the dark. 12 leds would be over the top if you're concerned about the dark adaptation of yourself and others around you. |
