Great report Gary and nice capture.. A similar event happened here last Thursday evening. I was out cooking a few steaks on the barbie and thought I would have a quick eyeball at the nearly full moon. When I looked up could see ISS about 60 deg. SW of the moon on ascending node. As it got closer to the moon I thought it looked possible that a transit was going to happen and sure enough it did. Lost sight if ISS about one moon diameter away due to the glare but picked it up again on the other side. I'd say it transited about 30% of moon diameter from the top. Time was 6.28pm local (10.28UT).
Just a chance event as I had not looked up the ISS pass and even using the Mk.1 eyeball was interesting to see..
