Nice work Dave, I like #3 best too. You should rotate your Toucam before you start capturing, so that the equatorial belts are horizontal and south is at top (my preferred orientation). It only takes a second to do it before capturing.
Is it possible to zip up an avi and upload it so I can take a look? I might be able to offer some more suggestions if I see the raw data..
