The sky was clear (that's what tempted me to go out) but the upper atmosphere was still turbulent. Jupiter's details would only come into focus every now and then. Still pleasant to look at with lower power. Good excuse to just watch the whole system rather than look for detail. The atmosphere probably settled down later in the evening but it was getting cold, the Blue's had lost
so I was ready to call it a night.
