Yes you can see the Andromeda galaxy and easily. Although I am blessed with quite dark skies from my home. It rises to about 20 deg. above the northern horizon during November and December and can be seen with naked eye and easily with binoculars, (tripod recomended though). Through the telescope with a wide FOV lens it is amazing. Definatly something to look forward to.
