For pavers I'd suggest at least 200x200mm (pref 300x300 or bigger) with a 20mm bed of crusher dust/deco underneath, (don't use sand. Ants will dig it out from under single pavers) slightly damp and then WELL tamped down and levelled. Don't skimp on the crusherdust but don't go overboard either. 50mm is way too much, but 10mm really isn't enough.
