Indeed. Cable management is critical in any set up. You don't want too many cables hanging down from the scope as they will alter the weight distribution during tracking. Plenty of cable ties and velcro straps are the answer. Loom them from the mount if possible and keep them clear of moving parts.
Perhaps the most important part is to set your slew limits correctly.
