First Map of Alien World
This is amazing - the first map of an extrasolar planet, hot jupiter HD 189733b, by the Spitzer space telescope.

Apparently the planet has a 900°C hot spot facing the planet's sun, which is pushed east 30° by 9,700 km/h winds. Cool
