Eta Carina

First use of the WO 0.8x reducer/flattener in the Orion 80ED, and my first use of a telescope in months. This shot is 9 mins total exposure.

Subject: Eta Carina Nebula
Camera: Canon 350D (unmod)
Scope: Orion 80ED 0.8x WO Reducer-Flattener No filters
Mount: LXD-75 unguided
Exposure: 9x60secs ISO 1600 (4xdarks)
Process: MaxDSLR and Photoshop. Shrunk 50% and then cropped to size.

On the Orion ED80 the WO Focal Reducer/Flattener seems okay, although some stars (surprisingly close to the centre) appear to be bent out of shape a little bit. The bananas around the edges are due mainly I think to field rotation from a bad polar alignment. Overall it's a pleasing result, so I might be using the WO x0.8 some more.
