Picasa Web Albums (by google) is a good free storage (1Gb I think) option for images. You will need to sign up for a free Gmail account first and download Picasa. Once you have joined you can easily upload using Picasa image browser, which will resize and scale your images for upload (leaving your originals untouched of course). Albums can be individually set to public or by invitation email only.
