Burg, Clavius, Hyginus Rille, Aristoteles and Eudoxus, Fracastorius, Plato, etc.

Hello,

The wee hours of the morning in Brisbane delivered some reasonable seeing, ranging from 5/10 to 6/10 with moments of 7/10 for brief spells. Sets of clouds marred the overall session and several AVI’s were ruined by clouds dimming then obliterating the target.

As a result, the quality of the following images vary due to the conditions. Some AVI’s had over 400 frames from 2100 that contributed to the final image; others could only scrape up 130 to 150 due to the AVI run being shortened by the clouds. All images made extensive use of between 5 and 10 Multiple Alignment Points in Registax 4 to cope with the variable seeing.

The lunar features are:
  • Burg in the Lacus Mortis.
  • Clavius, quite foreshortened.
  • The Hyginus Rille.
  • A 2 pane mosaic of Aristoteles and Eudoxus.
  • Fracastorius.
  • Plato.
  • Posidonius, and finally,
  • Theophillus.

Cheers
