Hey mate, did you get it from "i.web". A few things you can learn from this thread:

1) There is no way you will EVER get a REAL laser POWER higher than 15mW from ebay. It may be a 240mW diode, but if you shine your laser onto some plastic and the plastic isn't burning in under 5 seconds, then it's not a true 240mW laser...just a 240mW diode.

2) That laser you have is dangerous because it won't have an IR filter. I haven't been able to pull mine apart to check, but I'm fairly sure it doesn't. You can still use that laser, but because there are wavelengths coming out of it (invisible) that are extremely dangerous to your eye sight, it would be best to buy one from your local astronomy shop (I haven't heard any reviews on Bintel, myastroshop, telescopes-astronomy etc... and their lasers).
