Posidonius, Messier A&B and Jupiter - Mewlon 180 & DMK

Hello,

Last night I took the opportunity to re-acquaint myself with the DMK21AF04.AS and Mewlon 180 whilst eyeballing the Moon/Antares/M4 conjunction. Gee, it doesn’t take long to become rusty and get out of practice!

The Moon was almost full so I have exaggerated the processing on Posidonius and Messier A&B to try to bring some life into them. I also pointed the ‘scope at Jupiter which looked quite spectacular in the moments of good seeing.

I haven’t tried the colour filter wheel with the DMK yet, so unfortunately, Jove is in B&W only. I also noticed that although the ‘scope was collimated for visual use, when I checked a defocused star on the Notebook computer using the DMK, it was slightly out of collimation? Some work to be done yet in investigating this.

Cheers

Dennis
