G'day Terry, Bingo!! After a 1 star alignment, I connected 'The Sky' and moved to the required co-ordinates and it dead centered the star I was interested in see first image.(probably a different field from the first DSS plate I posted). I then went to visit A-Centauri, again dead centered it, yet 'The Sky' screen shows the error I mentioned previously. I know this error does not occur when I'm using the Meade classic LX200, and also if I input co-ordinates the Meade goes to the correct location too. There must be some 'funny' in the hand controller that causes the pointing error when info is being read from the 'display'.
I guess I should upgrade the firmware to v3.12 and see if that makes a change.
