I have to admit that I have had no problems with neighbours at all, the fellow behind me had a flood light that he would leave on sometimes while i was observing or imaging, however i went around to home one night and explained what i was doing and he couldn't have been more helpful and turned it off immediately.
Now if he knows i'm out side late he either keeps it off, or, if he needs to use it, he makes sure it is as brief as possible.
