We have a language - and it is universally relied upon in order to communicate with each other. The more *******isation due to laziness that occurs, the more the language deteriorates in general. Over time we're just going to get back to grunting to each other. I'm actually proud of the fact that I'm a reasonably good speller, and I don't see what's wrong with that. If it's more macho to not give a rats, then I guess some people will prefer that option.

Maybe it's because I'm in advertising. If I hired artists who can't spell accurately to design press ads, then that falls back on the client when their ad prints in a million newspapers the next morning with "You're right" spelt "Your right". The two are completely different in their meaning - so it is important to get it right. One means "You are correct" and the other means "Your right to do whatever".
