Sorry I missed a great night - ironically both of my brothers here went to bed at 10 o'clock, leaving me alone and wishing I'd come out observing after all.
I ended up observing out back on my own until almost 4am - large cloudy patches were rolling through around midnight onwards, but had totally cleared again by 2 - 2:30. I saw comet Lovejoy again around 1am or so and again around 3am. By 3:40 Mars had risen from behind the shed and the neighbour's house behind me.
A good night for one spent observing mostly at home alone, but poor compared to what I might have had there with you all.
