Well, I think it's going to be pricey you know? You will need a rather large
(8" plus ?) Byers gear - you may be able to get one to match the current drive worm if you are lucky - which will have to be mounted to the base of the saddle since the tangent arm clamps onto the shaft and you can't really do that with a gear. Encoder-wise you're OK as the DEC one sits inside the mount body but you are going to have to make some form of bracket to hold the drive to the gear.

Is it really worth the cost? That byers gear alone would scare me...
