Here's a photo of Jupiter I took last year sometime. I was just starting out. I did it with a Panasonic FZ2, Hugo 125mm Newtonian reflector (.i.e., very wobbly, will have to see about that). I did a crude version of the Nasa layering method in Photoshop, and I managed to pull the image below out of it all.
I must admit that when I first did, I was surprised to get the image I got. I had lots of problems with the adjustments on the digital camera. At first the camera was too sensitive and it was just a bright blob. Then I made a few changes to the iso et cetera., and I got something that resembled Jupiter.
I coupled the camera to the telescope with a makeshift coupling device involving two bits of wood. It kind of worked I think.
