Jupiter + Ganymede - 10th April

Hi all

Here's Jupiter + Ganymede from this morning at 3am local time. Ganymede had just re-appeared from behind Jupiter.

Seeing was quite good, but deteriorated after this avi (the first of the morning).

Taken with 12" newt on EQ6, DMK21AF04 + 5x powermate. Focal length measured at 10,041mm (thanks to Bird's great article).

I think the detail on Ganymede is the among the best i've captured. There's also the white spot outbreak on the NTZ and a large beige spot on the border of the NPR at the CM. It looks like there's some sort of circle shape inside it (similar to Oval BA) but I could be seeing things.

I've also attached a 150% resized version for kicks, but I think I still prefer the native image scale.

Thanks for looking.
