Bearded Dragons

Visiting my son yesterday, I'd thought I'd try out the 400D again on his collection of creatures. He keeps snakes, spiders, lizards and so on. The 400D is by far the best Canon DSLR yet having owned a 300D and 350D (keeping for astrophotography). These shots were taken with the standard 18-55mm lens through glass and as I mentioned in my last post of the Orb spider, this particular lens must have been made right. The red glow in the pics are from the heat lamp which make the shots somewhat more dramatic. They also change colour depending on their mood.

As a matter of interest, the bearded dragon's thorns are not hard and sharp as they would appear. They feel like rubber toys and are very placid, he lets them roam around the house!

Cheers,

Steve
