Don just a thought but do you guys have chicken flavoured potato chips like we do? (the kind you buy in plastic / alfoil bags to eat in the movies, etc) I'm guessing that maybe you don't, though I have heard they are popular in Mexico for some reason.

Well if you visualise for a sec a bag of chicken flavoured chips - and then remove the potato! What do you have left?
Viola!!! You now have Chicken Salt!!!!
How easy was that - and of course that is how they actually do make chicken salt - by removing the thin slices of potato and leaving the crispy salty flavoursome chickeny stuff.
