Deep Space Imaging

Just a question - I'm using a Canon EOS 300D for astrophotography.

Given that it's "deep space" that I'm imaging - is my camera sufficient to get reasonably good images, or will I get better images by using it in conjunction with my telescope??

Thus far, I'm pretty impressed with some of the pix I've taken with just the camera...so I started wondering if I'd do any better with using the cam with the scope...

Any thoughts?

PS - thanks again, Phil, for a great camera!
