Don't know about seeing the ovals visually. Haven't done a lot of eyeballin' lately. Mostly CCD imaging, although I do pop the eyepiece in at the start of the night to gauge the quality of the seeing.
I'd doubt they're visible due to the nature of white oval on white belt. Not enough contrast difference for the eye to pick it up
