And you may find you will start seeing the advantage of no set up with a pier.. it was never the work involved that steered me to a permanent pier but the fact that you could always start with a good polar alignment.. sometimes for whatever reason it eludes you

it was fun but not productive other than being a happy experience

But I recognise imaging planets is not very easy at all.
My Saturn looked like a mono color car badge... mmm the chalenge of is starting to get me in
.
Clouded in around 12 so I packed it in but looking early this morning I should have worked thru
.
