Well I haven't waited the mandatory seven days and seven nights of rain and cloudy since they arrived, so by my calculations, I should get to use them about Sunday. They do look might fine in the snazzy case they came in, with the word MEAD emblazoned on the side 
Thanks for the tips also, $2.00 sounds a miserly price that should attract me
