I was interested by that glow also. I'm used to it, but I'm also used to it being removed by dark frames. Not quite sure what happened there for it to be different this time.
I have in the past removed it manually (using a fake dark) but I didn't bother this time, short on time. I think I only used to do this before I used dark frames with the DSLR.
