interesting , your M42 shot exhibits the amp glow top left side and lower right corner - either over processing and teasing when getting out the image or your darks did not work well when you aligned and processed the image. Lovely colours and focus looked sharp, with some violet halos. Not bad , I like it. (i need to look at things like this to keep my hopes up, I haven't imaged for ages)
