Astro shots from Astro Camp

Hi all,

Here's the astro shots I ended up with from astro camp. There's one more of Eta exposing nicely for the cental bit, but I haven't got around to processing that (might not either)..

Eta with William Optics FLT 110 (borrowed from a friend on the night)...

I have several shots on a roll of film not yet developed. They are all wide field, taken while doing the above shots. Not sure when I'll have that developed yet.

The difference in optical quality between the FLT 110 and WO 80 (v1) is plain to see. The megrez has significant blue fringing while the FLT 110 has absolutely none. The FLT 110 shot is even out of focus a bit but it still looks alright.

I wish I could upgrade the WO Megrez to get rid of the blue fringing, but I don't think I will. I'd rather spend my money on a new larger SCT I think, hunt down those faint galaxy clusters better.

I enjoyed the nights quite a lot, especially having he film camera going also (so easy to do film shots!) and am really looking forward to getting those results back. It's just not as easy as it once was to get slide film developed.

Roger.
