...I think your biggest problem would be the light pollution and Vignetting causing the cyan centre.
Do you take a flat field image at all Eric? or maybe replace the secondary mirror for a bigger one? to stop vignetting.
But other than that i think that new newt of your`s is taking some real nice pixs...much better than that optec 8" one thats for sure..
