I'd be very wary of anything that M$ puts out. I would not use their messenger service at all, too many back doors left open. I checked with GRC.com, for most of the info.
Hell, everytime I start Media Player it wants to connect to home base.
Why do you think I use Firefox & Thunderbird! Much safer.
As for Sygate Firewall, it's rock solid. Plus a few other AV/Spyware progs.
