Yeah the DSI can be used as a guide camera, not sure if it will out perform the webcam though.
I might revisit that area of the sky one night and acquire more data. I'll need 3 hours (I wish) of cloud free skies though.

1/3 of the way in? is that talking about the 2/3 rule? If that is the case then it will not work with Astro pictures. You frame the image as you want it to look, so if there is more Nebulosity you want to capture to the left or right of the main target then you might want to recenter to include that.
If you went a little deeper on that image you could get all that nebula off to the right.
Nice image though, interesting effect, and you have captured it well.
