Here's some lunar images I took on Sunday morning while waiting for the seeing to improve to image Jupiter.
In general, the seeing was horrible and the image bounced and waved about all over the screen. However with some MAP magic and just enough sharp frames, I was able to salvage some data from the session.
Each avi was captured for 1 minute @ 30fps (1/30s) to get about 1800-2000 frames. I stacked 200 frames on each alignment point. Each image had between 2 and 5 alignment points. I probably should've used more in some cases as there are still fuzzy and blurry parts of each frame.
Registax wavelets followed by mild LR deconvolution, contrast adjust and noise reduction was used during the processing of these images.
In order:
1. Tycho
2. Moretus (love the fly-over feeling)
3. Rupes Recta (straight wall)
4. Aristillus
5. Plato (seeing was the worst during this)
6. Mouchez - one I haven't captured before. I liked the look of the large mountain to the lower left of the image.
I captured 2 avi's of Clavius (for a mosaic), but the seeing was rubbish and I couldn't get anything resembling Clavius after processing
I'm quite happy with the results given the conditions at the time (4-5/10).
Captured with 12" GSO Newt on an EQ6, DMK21AF04 + 5x powermate + R filter. Effective focal length approx 9.5m+.
