Geoff, Full duplex just like a phone, Haven't tried with speakers and a mic. Cheapo headsets with mic are available for under $20. Froggy, MSN would also be OK but the passport process is a pain and it seems to be forever needing patches. Skype is dead easy to use and for those that want the facility it has free voicemail and you can break out to regular telephone networks for a small fee.
