I find the user-interface almost identical?
What problems are you having with R4? I think we should work on those issues first
If you
really want to persist with old and outdated software
then you will need to convert your DMK avi's - either into BMP's or save as another avi (both using virtualdub).
That's what I had to do before R4 came out.
