David the Image Analyzer is freeware software
http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/Analyzer/ It has a range of handy tools for image processing. I keep coming back to the circular devonvolution since I seem to get good results with this. It has a guess option , i usually use about 2 iterations of 1/2 the pixel radius suggested from the guess
