One thing I used to say to people (mainly youth) that were contemplating, or actually committing suicide, as there world was (to them) crumbling around them was "hey, just wait and see what will happen tomorrow."
For some reason, that overly simple statement gave them hope. Good or bad, they decided to wait another day to 'see what will happen'.
