Paul's right. The do-all is if your image is bigger than the 512 pixel processing area. For lunar shots, it's a must. If the planet is only 300px wide, no big deal.
As Paul said, Reg4 prompts you to do it when you save.
So yeh, after the wavelets or any other processing in that tab.
