That's a telling difference right there, nice comparison Paul.
You'll work out the colour eventually.. it took me ages to get the colour right with the DMK. Part of it was due to the filters I was using (baader) which just didn't have the right transmission, and the red channel was too dim.
When I upgraded to Astronomik's, the colours came out much more balanced.
What program do you use to recombine? It's also worth noting that in AstraImage (if you use that to recombine), you can change the intensity of each channel to better match the colours... so if your blue channel was dim during capture, you can give it more intensity (eg: 0.9) during recombine to better match the histogram of each channel and get a better rendition when combined.
