It's all over. Well, I think it is. It had better be, my back's not happy at the moment even though I am.
Why? you ask. I ducked down to the hardware store, grabbed a bit of some sort of compressed fibre material, cut it to size (OK, OK, I got the lads down there to cut it for me on their whizz-bang vertical saw thingywhatsit - but, hey!, I did the measurements and checked 'em before they attacked the stuff) and fitted it to the poor stool. All together now . . . Aaahh!
Of course it still has to be finished even though it is perfectly serviceable and unlikely to fall apart before I get around to bunging in a couple of screws. But that, as mentioned by Phil, is for another day.

She (Mrs Dujon) noticed I'd done the 'fix' as soon as she walked into the bedroom. How can this be so? She was out on a Bush Care group meeting when I did the deed and there was nothing, absolutely nothing, to give away the game.
