Welcome Davo, seeing that I have a measurable period of time longer than you as a member...er...actually 5 days, that makes me only a half a rung higher on the forum evolutionary ladder than you.

However, I have been on other forums in other industries for decades and the old 80/20 rule is a standard i.e. 20% active members, 80% lurkers, yet I sense this one is far different. This forum is very active, very friendly, and manages a mix of serious astronomy in a down to Earth friendly atmosphere.

I have learned more in one week reading old postings than I ever imagined I would. I have bookmarked dozens of websites for future reading, I have discovered a myriad of helpful resources, that will take me a good while to fully utilize, however the point is, it's all out there, and it all starts from IIS.
