I went up to stromlo again tonite. set up in the usual spot. This time I had no idea where to look cos i thought it might have moved a bit in 3 nights. Got all ready by about 10 pas t 8. Waiting....waiting....was about to give up when i thought, i bet its behind the trees.

So, I moved up the very top of stromlo next to the laser sattelite tracking facility. by the time i got there, I turned around to view the horizon and......OMG!!!!!!!!There it was! Gotta be the highlight of my entire astronomy life! I know I cant swear here but man....some serious expletives are what is needed here to enunciate the high I'm on from seing this thing. I had no idea a comet would be or could be so beautiful and so huge!!!! Took a couple of rolls of film. Didnt know whether to sand like a dumb turd and stare naked eye, look thru the scope eyepiece, finder scope or the 2 cameras i had rolling!!!
