The sets of images for stacking (10x10sec, 10x20sec... etc) - is this a "trick of the trade"!!?? I mean, the quality of the image speaks for itself, but what part do the 10sec exposures play in the final outcome?
Sorry for the newbie question Eric, but I'm wondering if I should try similar techniques.

thanks doug, like what tony explained, i use small exposures for the core so it doesn't get bloated layered masking.
