To see through my mounted binoculars, I use old office gas lift chairs with the backs and arms ripped off.

HOWEVER, to sit back comfortably and admire the sky (naked eye or hand-held binoculars) to the zenith, I picked up two chairs on special from Clark Rubber. Normally retailing at $49.95 I think - I got them for $39.95. Aluminium folding, having a high back right up to a padded head rest, designed for outdoors so it has a plastic webbing which is quite comfortable to sit on - probably get quite moist in the dew so throw a towel over it(?). But best is that it has five positions from sitting up looking at horizon to leaning back looking at the zenith. They just fit in the boot of my small car on top of all the other gear (gas lift chairs have to go on the back seat!)
