I have upgraded to a go-to mount so my Meade LXD500B Heavy Duty EQ Mount is for sale.
The mount supports 8" SCTs etc and comes with
- Dual drives (Japanese made)
- RA and Dec drive cables
- Central control unit
- Hand slewing unit with 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x
- 2x counterweights
- Battery pack
- Bronze gear upgrade (the B in "500B")
- Strengthened Tripod
- RA and Dec lock LEDs inbuilt (for easy location in the dark)
- Allan keys
The tripod needed strengthening to make it really stable, this has been done by fixing the leg position permanently. The setup is equal to an EQ5 with dual drives which will cost around $750, so $350 sounds about fair.
