that is - if your modem uses 10.1.1.1 then make the router 10.1.1.12 (or whatever you like in that range) then in the gateway setting enter 10.1.1.1

the wireless router should handle dhcp for the rest of the network in say the 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 range ( or even the 10.0.0.1 range)
