Thank you Al. The problem has gone from detection of other planets to almost a data base management problem such are the numbers. I cant see why "solar" systems would not be the norm ..I suppose a star can be binary, but if solitary it seems planets must form in time by whatever method capture, matter ejected from the star or capture of other bodies "out there" maybe.. but my point is there sure seem to be plenty of planets to the expectations half a century ago.
