omg..............Don't do it...........your wife will never let you get that observatory if you get some little teeny weeny scope.......you need to keep it to convince her that you want to perm mount the 12" to save your back for more romantic endevours
It will be very hard to convince her with the smaller scope....... you may well remain undomed.
